BIG Festival 2027: Indie Game Submissions

BIG Festival, the Brazil Independent Games Festival, is one of the largest indie game festivals in the world, held as part of gamescom latam in São Paulo. For the 2027 edition, independent developers anywhere in the world can submit their games for free. A selection committee chooses the games shown at the event, and an international jury of industry professionals picks the winners in a wide range of award categories. The show runs from 22 to 25 April 2027 at Distrito Anhembi, and the submission deadline is 15 January 2027.

The 2026 edition received a record 966 submissions from 75 countries, which shows how international the festival has become. gamescom latam is organised by Koelnmesse, Omelete Company, BIG Festival and game, the German games industry association.

Who Can Enter BIG Festival?

Independent game developers from any country, working alone or in teams. Games can be on any platform.

It is particularly relevant to:

What Can You Enter?

Independent games, submitted through the official gamescom latam website according to the festival rules. Selected games are exhibited at the show, where visitors can play them, and compete for the awards.

Submitting a game is free, and the exhibition programme for selected games has no cost.

• The WINGS Award, for teams where women and marginalised genders play leading roles

Submission Requirements

Submit through the official gamescom latam website, where the full rules are published. Prepare a build, a trailer and screenshots, and a short description of your game in English.
