NordArt 2027 Exhibition
UpcomingStarts 5 JunNordArt 2027 is a large international exhibition of contemporary art in a former iron foundry and sculpture park in Büdelsdorf, Germany, open 5 June – 3 October 2027, Tuesday to Sunday.

The NordArt 2027 exhibition is one of the largest annual shows of contemporary art in Europe, held from 5 June to 3 October 2027 at the Carlshütte, a former iron foundry in Büdelsdorf in northern Germany. Over four months, painting, sculpture, photography, installation and video by artists from around the world fill the old industrial halls and a large sculpture park in Büdelsdorf, next to the town of Rendsburg.
About the NordArt 2027 Exhibition
NordArt takes place every summer in the Kunstwerk Carlshütte, where 22,000 m² of historic foundry halls, an 80,000 m² sculpture park and the ACO Wagenremise building become one continuous exhibition. The space is the attraction in itself: very large sculptures and installations stand next to paintings and photographs, and the industrial architecture gives the show a character that a white-walled museum cannot.
The artists are chosen each year by a jury from an international open call, so the selection changes completely from one edition to the next. Many works are for sale, and buyers deal directly with the artists.
What to Expect
- Scale: a full day at the NordArt 2027 exhibition is realistic; the halls and park are far larger than a typical gallery
- Range: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, installation and video side by side
- Outdoor sculpture: a large park with monumental works, best seen in good weather
- Your vote: visitors choose the winners of the Public Choice Award, three prizes of €1,000 each for exhibiting artists
2027 Programme
The exhibition opens on 5 June 2027 and closes on 3 October 2027. The list of participating artists is published on 1 March 2027, after the jury has made its selection. Guided tours are offered during the exhibition; details for 2027 will appear on the NordArt website.
