About the Green Concept Award
The Green Concept Award is the part of the programme dedicated to ideas that are not yet on the market. Students, graduates and young designers can submit concepts, prototypes and research projects in any of the 14 categories, and they are judged with the same criteria as finished products: how well the idea is developed, its potential impact and how convincingly it is designed. Finalists are presented alongside established brands, which gives a student project rare exposure to manufacturers, investors and the design press.
Why Enter?
For students, a free international competition focused on sustainability is a rare opportunity: a finalist place gives a graduation project visibility with companies and press, and the jury feedback is valuable in itself. For companies, the seal helps communicate sustainable credentials to buyers and customers.
Things to Consider
- Explain the sustainability clearly. Materials, life cycle, repair and end of life matter as much as appearance.
- Show the product in use. Good photographs and diagrams help the jury.
- Choose the right category. The same project may fit more than one.
- Use the public vote. Share your entry with your network during the voting period.
- Students: enter before 17 January 2027; entry is free.
