Graphis New Talent Awards 2027
Closing soon13 days leftThe Graphis New Talent Awards 2027 judge student work in design, advertising, photography and illustration, with Platinum, Gold and Silver awards and the New Talent Annual. Deadline: 3 November 2026.

The Graphis New Talent Awards 2027 are Graphis's international competition for students in graphic design, advertising, photography and illustration. Graphis, the New York publisher behind design annuals since 1944, gives Platinum, Gold and Silver awards to the strongest student work and publishes winners online and in the Graphis New Talent Annual. The deadline is 3 November 2026 at 11:59pm.
For students, the New Talent Annual is a portfolio credential that art directors recognise. Past Platinum winners include student campaigns for global brands, poster series, packaging and editorial projects from schools in the United States, South Korea, Germany and beyond.
Entries can be single images, series of up to seven images or films, so the competition suits both one-off pieces and complete projects.

It is particularly relevant to:
- Graphic design and branding students
- Advertising and copywriting students with campaign work
- Photography students
- Illustration students with editorial or book projects
- Motion design students with a short film or animation
What Can You Enter?
- Single image: a poster, a book, brochure or magazine cover, a single ad, logo, photograph or illustration
- Image series (up to 7 images): an advertising campaign, a poster, branding or photo series, or a publication with one cover and up to six spreads
- Film or video: a commercial or motion piece, linked from Vimeo or YouTube
Student entries that use imagery from other sources must credit the image source.
Entry Fees
- Single image: $70
- Image series: $100
- Film or video: $100
What Do Selected Entrants Receive?
- Platinum, Gold and Silver awards for the strongest entries
- Publication on the Graphis website and in the Graphis New Talent Annual

Submission Requirements
Entries are submitted online through the Graphis entry form.
- JPEG files, RGB colour, up to 5MB each, 72ppi
- Complete credits for the student, school and instructor
- Physical pieces are optional and only needed when the material is essential to judging
Important Rules
- Do not submit files in CMYK.
- Video links must stay public on Vimeo or YouTube.
- Credits must be complete at the time of entry, as they are published with winning work.
When Will Entrants Be Notified?
Graphis publishes awards on its website after judging, and winners are included in the New Talent Annual.
Why Enter as a Student?
Student work rarely reaches the people who hire designers. A Graphis award puts a project in front of art directors in the same format as professional annuals, and the award is easy to cite on a CV, portfolio site or LinkedIn profile. Because judging is done on images, a well-presented project from any school competes on equal terms with work from the best-known programmes. Many schools also use the annual to show the level of their students, so tutors often coordinate entries and help students choose which projects to submit.
Things to Consider
- Enter finished projects. A full campaign or identity shown as a series usually reads stronger than a single image.
- Add a glamour shot. Graphis recommends one presentation image as the first or last image of a series.
- Credit your instructor. Credits are published with the work, so check every name.
- Check rights to imagery. Stock or found images must be credited.
- Budget for fees. At $70–$100 per entry, choose your strongest one or two projects.
- Mind the date. The deadline is early November, so prepare files from this semester's work now.
