UpcomingStarts 13 AprSalone del Mobile.Milano 2027, the 65th edition, runs 13–18 April at Fiera Milano Rho with Euroluce, SaloneSatellite for under-35s, the new Salone Contract and Salone Raritas. Public days at the weekend.

The Salone del Mobile.Milano is the world's most important furniture and design fair, and its 65th edition takes place at Fiera Milano in Rho from 13 to 18 April 2027. Brands from around the world launch new furniture, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms and accessories, while young designers show prototypes at SaloneSatellite. In 2027 the fair also hosts Euroluce, the biennial lighting exhibition, and the debut of Salone Contract.
The same week, Milan Design Week, also known as the Fuorisalone, fills the city with hundreds of exhibitions and events.
About the Salone del Mobile
The fair was founded in 1961 to promote Italian furniture exports and has become the reference event for the global design industry. The 2026 edition brought together 915 exhibitors from 32 countries and welcomed 316,342 visitors from 167 countries.
Its core exhibitions are the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0 and S.Project. Kitchen and bathroom exhibitions alternate with Euroluce from year to year.
What to Expect
- Euroluce: the biennial lighting exhibition (306 exhibitors in 2025), with the Euroluce International Lighting Forum, curated by Annalisa Rosso, in Sou Fujimoto's The Forest of Space arena
- SaloneSatellite: the showcase for designers under 35, founded in 1998 by Marva Griffin Wilshire, where many of today's well-known designers were first discovered
- Salone Contract: a new platform for large hospitality and contract projects, with a masterplan by OMA (Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten)
- Salone Raritas: the second edition of a section for limited editions, one-off pieces and collectible design, curated by Annalisa Rosso with exhibition design by Formafantasma
- Talks and installations across the fairground, with designers, architects and critics
2027 Programme
The fair is open to trade visitors from Tuesday 13 April and to the general public on the weekend of 17 and 18 April 2027; students can also attend on certain days. In 2026, visitor hours were 9:30am to 6:30pm. Detailed programmes for Euroluce, SaloneSatellite and the talks are published in early 2027.
Across the city, Milan Design Week runs in the same days, with design districts such as Brera, Tortona and Isola hosting brand exhibitions, installations and parties, most of them free.
Who Is It For?
- Furniture, lighting and product designers
- Interior designers and architects
- Design students and young designers, especially those hoping to exhibit at SaloneSatellite
- Buyers, retailers and contract specifiers
- Design lovers, who can visit at the public weekend
Tickets
Entry to the Salone del Mobile is managed only through the official digital platform. As a guide, in 2026 public weekend tickets cost from €38 to €53, depending on when they were bought, and student tickets from €15 to €20; trade visitors register for a professional pass. Prices for 2027 will be announced by the organisers, and buying early is usually cheaper.
Tips for Young Designers
If you are under 35, SaloneSatellite is the part of the fair to study closely. Look at how young designers present a collection on a small stand, which prototypes catch the attention of manufacturers, and how they talk about their work. Many designers who showed there later went on to work with major brands, and the section is selected each year through an application that usually opens in the autumn.
For students, the trade days are often open to those with a valid student ticket, and the public weekend is busier but more relaxed. Plan your route by hall, starting with the exhibitions closest to your interests, and keep time for the talks and installations, which bring together designers, architects and critics.
In the evenings, the city programme of Milan Design Week offers a different view: brand exhibitions, design school shows and independent studios across districts such as Brera, Tortona and Isola. Many young designers find their first contacts at these city events rather than at the fairground.
Things to Know
- Getting there: Fiera Milano Rho is on metro line M1 (Rho Fieramilano station), about 30 minutes from the city centre.
- Size: the fairground is huge; choose your halls in advance and wear comfortable shoes.
- Accommodation: Milan hotels are at their most expensive this week; book months ahead or stay outside the city.
- Fuorisalone: keep your evenings for the city events, which are usually free and open late.
- SaloneSatellite: if you are under 35, the application for future editions usually opens in the autumn.
