Maison&Objet is the leading international trade fair for home decor, furniture, design and lifestyle, held twice a year in Paris. The January 2027 edition runs from 14 to 18 January at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre, where around 2,300 brands, from global furniture makers to small craft studios, present their new collections to buyers, retailers, interior designers and press.

The fair is open to trade visitors only, so you will need to register as a professional in advance.

About Maison&Objet

The fair was first held in 1995 and is organised by SAFI, a subsidiary of the Ateliers d'Art de France and RX France. Its January edition sets the tone for the year's interiors trends, and many brands launch products there before showing them in Milan in April. The January 2026 edition welcomed 67,286 unique visitors across seven halls.

Beyond the stands, the fair is known for its talent programmes. Each edition names a Designer of the Year, who designs an installation at the fair; the 2026 title went to Harry Nuriev. The Rising Talents awards, which have run since 1995, focus on young designers from one country or region at a time, chosen by a local jury; the 2026 awards showcased seven designers and studios from South Africa.

What to Expect

  • Furniture and lighting from established brands and contemporary design labels
  • Decoration, textiles, tableware and gifts across dedicated halls
  • Craft: artisan workshops and makers, many supported by Ateliers d'Art de France
  • Designer of the Year installation, a highlight of each edition
  • Rising Talents: a showcase of young designers chosen by a national jury
  • Trend spaces and talks: curated displays on materials and colours, and a conference programme with designers and industry leaders

January 2027 Programme

The fair runs from Thursday 14 to Monday 18 January 2027. The names of the 2027 Designer of the Year and the Rising Talents country are announced by the organisers in the weeks before the fair, together with the talks programme and the trend themes. Paris Deco Off and Paris Design Week events in the city often take place around the same dates, so the whole week is busy with showroom openings.

Who Is It For?

  • Interior designers and architects sourcing furniture, lighting and materials
  • Retailers, concept stores and buyers
  • Product and furniture designers looking at the market and its trends
  • Craftspeople and small brands thinking about exhibiting in future editions
  • Design journalists and stylists

Students and young designers can sometimes attend through school partnerships; check with your school or the organisers.

Tickets

Maison&Objet is a trade-only fair. Professionals register online on the official site, and may be asked for proof of their activity, such as a company registration or business card. Resale sites offer full-show passes, but the official visitor registration is the safest route. The general public is not admitted.

Tips for Designers

For product and furniture designers, the fair is a way to understand the market you design for. Walking the halls shows which materials, colours and price points brands are betting on, and how small companies present new collections on a modest stand. The Rising Talents area is especially useful for young designers: it shows the kind of work that gets noticed by juries and buyers, and how a first collection can be presented.

If you hope to sell your own products, visit as a professional before you consider exhibiting. Talk to small brands about how they found their stockists, what the stand cost them and which hall suited them best. Many exhibitors in the craft and decoration halls began with a shared stand or a collective presentation supported by their country's trade body.

The talks and trend spaces are free with your badge, so plan a session or two between hall visits. Notes and photographs from the trend displays are a good reference for colour and material research for the rest of the year.

Things to Know

  • Getting there: Paris Nord Villepinte is next to Charles de Gaulle airport; RER B trains from central Paris stop at Parc des Expositions station, and shuttle buses also run from Paris.
  • Halls: the fair spreads over several large halls, so download the floor plan and plan by sector.
  • Shoes: expect a lot of walking; the halls are huge.
  • Accommodation: hotels near the airport and in Paris fill up for the fair week; book early.
  • Next edition: Maison&Objet returns in September 2027.
