The RBA Annual Exhibition 2027 is the yearly exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists, held at Mall Galleries on The Mall in central London from 25 February to 6 March 2027. It brings together painting, sculpture, drawing and original prints by the society's members and by artists chosen from an international open call, and every work on the walls is for sale.

About the RBA Annual Exhibition 2027

The Royal Society of British Artists is one of the oldest art societies in the United Kingdom, and its annual show is a fixture of the London exhibition calendar each spring. Members are elected artists, many of them established painters and sculptors; next to them hang works selected from hundreds of open submissions, so the exhibition mixes well-known names with artists showing in London for the first time.

The rules of the open call shape what you see: only original works in painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking are included, and photography is not part of the exhibition. Every piece is new to London, as works that have been exhibited in the city before are not accepted.

What to Expect

  • A large, varied hang: landscape, portraiture, still life, abstraction and figurative work in oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media
  • Sculpture and prints: smaller sculpture alongside etchings, linocuts, screenprints and other original prints
  • Prize-winning works: more than £15,000 in awards are presented, including the £10,000 Huaicun Zhang Award for Excellence and a £2,000 award for an artist aged 35 or under
  • Art you can buy: every work is for sale, with original works from £300 and prints from £120

2027 Programme

The exhibition is open from Thursday 25 February to Saturday 6 March 2027. The private view on the evening of 25 February is by invitation only; public opening hours are 10 am to 5 pm every day, closing at 5 pm on the final day. The list of exhibiting artists and award winners will be published once the selection is complete.
