Paris Photo 2026
UpcomingStarts 12 NovParis Photo 2026, the world's leading art fair for photography, returns to the Grand Palais from 12 to 15 November with galleries, publishers, the Voices and Emergence sectors and photobook awards. Tickets from €26.

Paris Photo is the world's leading international art fair dedicated to photography, and its 29th edition takes place at the Grand Palais from 12 to 15 November 2026. Galleries from around the world show historical prints, modern masters and contemporary photography, while publishers and booksellers bring the latest photobooks. The fair opens to invited guests and vernissage ticket holders on Wednesday 11 November.
The 2026 edition coincides with the bicentenary of photography, and the programme looks back at two hundred years of the medium as well as forward to new practices.
About Paris Photo
Founded in 1997, the fair moved back to the restored Grand Palais in 2024, under its glass roof between the Champs-Élysées and the Seine. It is directed by Florence Bourgeois, with Anna Planas as artistic director. Each November its dates anchor the city's "photo month", when museums, institutions and galleries across Paris open photography exhibitions at the same time.
What to Expect
- Principal sector: the main gallery section, with solo and group presentations ranging from 19th-century prints to contemporary work, including the Prismes section for large-scale works and series
- Voices: curated presentations that bring in perspectives from regions and artists less often seen at the fair
- Emergence: young galleries showing emerging photographers
- Digital: a sector for works on screen and digital practices
- Editions: publishers and booksellers, with book launches and signings throughout the fair
- Elles × Paris Photo: a curated trail highlighting women photographers, curated this year by Aldeide Delgado
- Photography at 200: a display of around 100 works by nearly 30 artists presented with the Centre Pompidou
2026 Programme
Besides the gallery stands, Paris Photo runs a programme of talks and conversations with artists, curators and collectors. Two prizes are presented during the fair: the Paris Photo–Aperture PhotoBook Awards, one of the most important photobook prizes, with categories for first photobook, photobook of the year and catalogue, and the Prix Étudiants, awarded by a jury of students. The Editions sector is the best place to discover new books and to have them signed by their photographers.
The fair is open from 1pm to 8pm, closing at 7pm on Sunday 15 November. The vernissage on Wednesday 11 November starts at 2pm.

Tips for Photographers
For photographers, the fair is a chance to see how the market works from the inside. Look at how galleries hang and frame work, how they present a series on a single wall, and which formats and edition sizes they use. Prices are usually available on request; asking politely is normal, and the answers say a lot about how careers are built. The Emergence sector is especially useful if you are early in your career, because it shows the galleries most likely to take on new artists.
The Editions sector is where you can meet publishers. If you are working on a photobook, browse the stands, note which publishers make books close to yours, and visit on a quieter weekday to start a conversation, though most will ask you to follow up by email rather than show a dummy on the spot.
Around the fair, Paris hosts dozens of satellite events in the same week, from smaller fairs to museum exhibitions and book signings. Many photographers spend two or three days in the city and keep one of them for the fair alone.
