Culture Moves Europe Individual Mobility Grant 2026–2027
Open for entriesCulture Moves Europe funds artists and designers living in Creative Europe countries to work abroad for 7–60 days: €85 a day plus travel. Monthly deadlines; final deadline 30 April 2027.

Culture Moves Europe is the European Union's mobility grant for artists and cultural professionals. Funded by Creative Europe, it pays individuals and small groups to spend 7 to 60 days working with a partner in another Creative Europe country: €85 a day, a travel allowance of €400 or €800, and extra support for green travel, children and visas. The 2026–2027 call has monthly deadlines, with the last one on 30 April 2027.
The grant is broad. Visual artists, designers, fashion designers, architects and people working in heritage, literature, music and performing arts can all apply, and no specific level of experience is required. What matters is a clear project with a partner abroad who invites you.
It is one of the most practical ways for European creatives to fund a research trip, a collaboration or a short residency that does not come with its own money.

Submission Requirements
Applications are made online through the Culture Moves Europe page on the European Commission's culture website. You describe the project, your aims, your host partner and your dates. Read the call guidelines before applying, as the form asks you to show how the project meets the learn, create, explore and connect aims.
Important Rules
- The host must be in a different Creative Europe country from your residence.
- Only one individual mobility grant per person between October 2025 and July 2028.
- Groups are limited to five people and 21 days.
When Will Applicants Be Notified?
Results are sent up to eight weeks after each monthly deadline, so apply at least two months before your planned trip.
Things to Consider
- Secure your host first. A clear invitation from a partner makes the project credible.
- Name two aims clearly. Say which two of learn, create, explore and connect your trip serves, and how.
- Travel green if you can. The €400 green travel top-up is significant for a short stay.
- Plan around the timing. With results up to eight weeks after a deadline, choose the deadline that fits your dates.
- Use it once, well. You only get one grant in the period, so pick your strongest project.
